Configure Basic User Sync for Workspace ONE Access

In this section, we will configure Basic User Sync for Workspace ONE Access. This setting allows basic accounts from Workspace ONE UEM to be imported into Workspace ONE Access and allow users to authenticate as these synced basic accounts.

Ordinarily, you would not use this feature for user authentication and would instead sync your users to Workspace ONE Access by utilizing the VMware Identity Manager Connector to import your users to handle large-scale directories and groups.  However, to simplify this lab, we are using this feature to avoid needing to install and configure additional steps to integrate the VMware Identity Manager Connector with Workspace ONE Access since the end user views are identical.
