AirWatch Console Configuration - Profile & Applications
Return to the AirWatch Console
While the Tunnel Appliance deployment is finishing up, return to the AirWatch console to complete configuration of required profiles and applications needed to leverage Per App VPN on an enrolled iOS device.
Update Device Profile
- Go to "Devices"
- Click "Profiles"
- Click "List View"
- Select the pencil icon to Edit the profile created when configuring AirWatch Tunnel
Update Profile Settings
- Click "Add Version"
- Change Assignment Type from Optional to "Auto"
- Click the VPN payload to update settings
Add Safari Domain
- Enter "airwlab.com" in Safari Domains
- Click "Save & Publish" to Publish the Profile
Publish Profile
Click "Publish"
Configure Applications
- Click "+" to Add
- Select "Public Application"
Add AirWatch Tunnel
- Select "Apple iOS" from the Platform dropdown menu
- Enter "AirWatch Tunnel" in the Name field
- Click "Next"
Select AirWatch Tunnel
Click "Select"
Configure Assignment Settings
- Click the Assignment tab
- Type "All" and select for Assigned Groups
Configure Deployment Settings
- Click the Deployment tab
- Change Push Mode to "Auto"
- Click "Save & Publish"
Publish Application
Click "Publish"
Add Public Application
- Click "+" to Add
- Select "Public Application"
Add AirWatch Browser
- Select "Apple iOS" from the Platform dropdown menu
- Enter "AirWatch Browser" in the Name field
- Click "Next"
Select AirWatch Browser
Click "Select"
Application Deployment
- Click the Deployment tab
- Set Push Mode to "Auto"
- Enable the Checkbox to "Use VPN"
- Select "AW Tunnel" profile from dropdown menu
- Click "Save & Publish"
Publish Application
Click "Publish"
Device Testing
Now that you have configured a public application to Use VPN and pushed the AirWatch Tunnel client to automatically install on newly enrolled devices, you will enroll an iOS device and validate the Per App VPN functionality using the AirWatch Tunnel Virtual Appliance in both Safari and the AirWatch Browser.
