Install AirWatch Tunnel on a Linux VM
In this section, we are going to install AirWatch Tunnel using the installer we transferred in the previous section.
1. Launch SSH Client
- From the toolbar, click on the icon to launch the SSH Client.
2. Open AW Tunnel Connection
- Select the saved session "AW Tunnel".
- Click on "Load".
- Ensure that you are connecting to IP address "10.10.10.100".
- Click on "Open" to launch the SSH session.
3. Login to Linux VM
- Enter the username as "root".
- Enter the password as "VMware1!" and log in.
4. Untar the installer
- Ensure that you are in the right folder containing tunnel installer by entering "ls".
- Enter the following command to untar the installer:
tar -xvf AirWatchTunnel.tar
and press enter.
(Note: You can use the tab key from your keyboard to auto-complete file name.)
5. Run the installer
- Enter the following command to launch the installer:
sudo ./AirWatchTunnel.bin
and press enter.
(Note: You can use the tab key from your keyboard to auto-complete file name.)
6. Accept the installation prompt by hitting Enter
Hit "Enter" to continue.
7. Accept License agreement
Note: You will have to hit Enter multiple times until you reach to the end of license agreement.
Type in "y" and hit Enter to accept License agreement.
8. Review Feature Selection Summary
- Hit "Enter" to review feature selection summary.
- Type in Per-App Tunnel Certificate password as "VMWare1!".
- Enter "n" for outbound proxy selection option.
- Enter "y" to grant permissions to open port.
9. Select NSX Interface
Enter "2" to select "eno16780032".
(Important Note: Please double check that you are selecting the correct interface in this step. Otherwise, NSX Integration may fail at a later stage.)
10. Review Pre-Installation Summary
- Review pre-installation summary and hit "Enter" to continue.
- Hit "Enter" to start the Tunnel Installation.
(Note: It takes around 1 -2 minutes to complete the AirWatch Tunnel Installation).
11. Acknowledge the Tunnel Installation completion prompt
Hit "Enter" to exit the installer.
