Configure a Web App in VMware Identity Manager
- Return to the VMware Identity Manager Admin Console tab.
- Click the drop-down arrow by Catalog.
- Click Web Apps.
- Click New.
1. Configure the Web App
- Enter
IT Budget
for Name. - Enter
Internal website for IT Budget planning
for Description. - Click Next.
1.1. Open the SAML Service Provider Metadata
- Click the File Explorer icon from the taskbar.
- Click Downloads.
- Right-click the uag-internet.corp.local.xml file.
- Click Edit with Notepad++.
1.2. Copy the SAML XML
- Right-click on the content and click Select All.
- Right-click on the content and click Copy.
- Click on X to close Notepad++.
1.3. Paste the SAML XML
Return to the VMware Identity Manager Console,
- Select SAML 2.0 for the Authentication Type.
- Right-click in the URL/XML text field.
- Click Paste, confirm the copied text is entered.
- Click Next.
1.4. Define Access Policies
Click Next.
You will use the default access policy already defined in VMware Identity Manager.
