Delivering Apps on Windows 10
You can distribute applications to Windows 10 devices, allowing for a seamless user experience. This exercise helps you to create and distribute an application to your Windows 10 device.
1. Download the 7-Zip Installer
In Google Chrome:
- Click the New Tab button.
- Copy the URL

NOTE: Remember you can use the Send Text feature at the top of the screen, or you can drag-and-drop the text from the manual into the address bar! - Click Keep when asked about saving the 7-Zip installer.
- Once your download has completed, click Close on the current tab.
Return to the Workspace ONE UEM Administration Console and proceed to the next step.
2. Add Internal Application
In the upper-right corner of Workspace ONE UEM Console:
- Select Add.
- Select Internal Application.
3. Upload Application
Click Upload.
3.1. Find the Application MSI
Click the Choose File button.
3.2. Upload the EXE File
Navigate to the 7-zip installation file you previously downloaded.
- Select Downloads.
- Select the 7z1604-x64 executable file.
- Click Open.
3.3. Save the EXE File
Click Save.
3.4. Continue to the App Settings
- Select No for Is this a dependency app?
- Click Continue.
4. Configure App Details
- Enter a name for your application, for example,
7-Zip
. - Select 64-bit for the Supported Processor Architecture.
4.1. Configure Application Files
- Select the Files tab.
- Scroll down to find the App Uninstall Process section.
- Enter the following for Uninstall Command:
7z1604-x64.exe /Uninstall

4.2. Select Deployment Options
- Select Deployment Options.
- Scroll down until you see the option for Install Command.
- Enter Install Command as:
7z1604-x64.exe /S

4.3. Add Identify Application Condition
- Scroll down to find the When To Call Install Complete section.
- Select Defining Criteria for Identity Application By.
- Click Add.
4.4. Configure the Install Complete Defining Criteria
- Select File Exists for the Criteria Type.
- Enter
C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe
for the Path. - Click Add.

5. Save and Assign the Application
Click Save & Assign.
5.1. Add an Assignment
Click Add Assignment.
5.2. Add Assignment Group and Push Mode
- Click the Select Assignment Groups search box and select All Devices ([email protected]).
- Select Auto for the App Delivery Method.
- Click Add.
Note: You now have the ability to choose if the app is displayed in the app catalog or not. This is helpful when deploying driver updates or scripted actions and don't want the end-user to see this in the catalog.
5.3. Save and Publish the Application
Click Save & Publish.
5.4. Preview the Assigned Devices
Click Publish.
