Content Gateway Settings on Workspace ONE UEM Console

When the Content Gateway Edge Service is enabled on the Unified Access Gateway Appliance it pulls out the configuration of the Content Gateway from Workspace ONE UEM. For that reason the Content Gateway must be configured first on the Workspace ONE UEM, prior to deployment of the Unified Access Gateway Appliance.

This section will walk you through the steps to configure Content Gateway in Workspace ONE UEM Console.

1. Open All Settings

2. Enabling Content Gateway

  2. Click Enterprise Integration
  3. Click Content Gateway
  4. Change the setting to Override
  5. Select Enabled for Content Gateway
  6. Click Add

3. Adding Configuration

Configuration Type

In this page you will need to fill in the Host Names, URLs and Ports that correspond to the specific server(s) assigned to you for this workshop.

You should have received an email titled "Workspace ONE Workshop | Lab Ports and Hostnames", which has the assigned port and hostname values you should enter here.  This email is sent to the account you used to register for VLP and signed into the Workspace ONE UEM Console with.

  1. Select Unified Access Gateway (Preferred) as the Installation Type.
  2. Choose Configuration Type as Basic (Single-Tier).
    Basic (Single-Tier) means the Unified Access Gateway Appliance will be deployed in the DMZ where the Content Gateway Edge Service will be enabled to communicate with the internal network.
  3. Enter Content Gateway on UAG for the Name.
  4. Enter the DNS address assigned to you for the Hostname field (Format: pool##.airwlab.com).
  5. Enter the Port assigned to you for the Port field (Format: 4###).
  6. Click Upload to provide a Public SSL Certificate.

  1. Click Local Disk (C:)
  2. Click AW Tools
  3. Click airwlab.com.pfx
  4. Click Open

3.3. Enter Certificate Password

  1. Enter A1rW@tch! for the Certificate Password
  2. Click Upload

4. Save the Content Gateway Configuration

Click Save

5. Save the Content Gateway Enterprise Integration

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the Content Gateway Enterprise Integration page
  2. Click Save

6. Obtaining Content Gateway Configuration GUID

  1. Select the Content Gateway configuration that you just added.
  2. The More Actions button enables the options to Download Unified Access Gateway, which will redirect to the Workspace ONE Resources portal where the Unified Access Gateway Virtual Appliance OVF package is hosted. However, in the interest of time the file has been downloaded to your sever and can be found on the Desktop in the UAG Resources\UAG Files Folder.
  3. Copy the Content Gateway Configuration GUID - this is required to enable the Content Gateway Edge Service on Unified Acces Gateway

Now that you added one configuration for Content Gateway, the next section goes through the process to deploy the Unified Access Gateway Appliance OVF through PowerShell and configure the Content Gateway Edge Services as part of the deployment based on the settings configured in Workspace ONE UEM.
