Configuring Web App on VMware Identity Manager

Add new WebApp

Return to the VMware Identity Manager Console,

  1. Click the drop-down arrow by Catalog
  2. Click Web Apps
  3. Click New

1. Configure Web App

Configure WebApp
  1. Enter IT Budget for Name
  2. Enter Internal website for IT Budget planning for Description
  3. Click Next

1.1. Upload SAML Service Provider Metadata

Open xml file
  1. Click the File Explorer icon from the taskbar
  2. Click on Downloads Folder
  3. Right Click on the uag.airwlab.com.xml file
  4. Click on Edit with Notepad++

1.2. Copy the SAML XML

Copy XML
  1. Right Click on the content and Click Select All
  2. Right Click on the content and Click Copy
  3. Click on X to close Notepad++

1.3. Paste the SAML XML

Configuring SSO for WebApp

Return to the VMware Identity Manager Console,

  1. Right-click in the URL/XML text field
  2. Click Paste, confirm  the copied text is entered
  3. Click Next

1.4. Define Access Policies

Set Access Policies

Click Next

You will use the default access policy already defined in VMware Identity Manager

1.5. Save Web App Configuration

Save WebApp configuration

Click Save & Assign

2. Assign Web App to a AD Group

  1. Enter ALL USERS in the Users / User Groups field
  2. Click the ALL USERS result

2.1. Update the Deployment Type and Save

Group Assignment
  1. Change Deployment Type to Automatic for the ALL USERS group
  2. Click Save
