Customize VM with Apps and Create Image

Once the DaaS Agent is Active, you will use the public IP Address to RDP to the imported VM.

Configure Imported VM with Apps

RDP to Imported VM using local RDP client for Mac or Windows.

1. Enter the public IP address.

2. Enter the Admin Credentials for the Desktop from the Student Data Worksheet.

Prepare VM for App Installation

Open a CMD window with Admin privileges.

Enter command:

change user /install
Click to copy

Press Enter.

Do not close the CMD window.

Install Software to VM

1. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the software repository listed in the Student Data Worksheet.

2. Double-click to install the Ninite package.

Prepare VM for App Execution

When the installation is complete, go back to the CMD window.

Enter command:

change user /execute
Click to copy

Press Enter.

Log out of Windows, but do not power off the VM.

Navigate to Images Menu in Horizon Cloud

2. Select Inventory.

3. Select Images.

Create New Image

1. Select New.

Location and Node should be automatically populated.

1. Select your Desktop from the drop-down menu.

Complete New Image Form

Image name and time zone are automatically populated.

1. Enter your company name.

2. Enter the Admin Credentials for the Desktop from the Student Data Worksheet.

3. Select Publish.

Expect ~5-minute delay while image is published.

Periodically refresh the page to verify the status of the image creation.
