Deploy Smart Node

Login in to Horizon Cloud.

1. Open a web browser in private or incognito browsing mode.

3. Log in using the My VMware credentials provided in the Student Data Worksheet.

Add New Capacity

1. Under Add Cloud Capacity, Click Add.

Complete the Microsoft Azure Subscription Form

1. Fill in the form using data collected from Lab 1. The Application Key will be provided by the lab instructor.

2. Click Add.

*Note: Once you click Add, it may take up to 30 seconds for the Azure Subscription Details for to be submitted. Please do not click Add a second time.

Complete the Microsoft Azure Subscription Section of the Node Setup Form

1. Enter the Node name provided in the Student Data Worksheet.

2. Select the Microsoft Azure Region provided in the Student Data section of this document.

3. Select Add.

Add Datacenter Location

1. Enter a friendly name for your Azure region.

2. Select Save.

Complete the Networking Section of the Node Setup Form

1. Enter the Networking information provided in the Student Data Worksheet.

2. Be sure to select the Virtual Network that you created in Lab 1.

Complete the UAG Section of the Node Setup Form

1. Enter the Unified Access Gateway information provided in the Student Data Worksheet. The PEM file will be provided by the lab instructor.

2. Select Validate & Proceed.

Review Summary Form

1. Review and select Submit.

Horizon Cloud Deploys Smart Node

1. Expect ~35-minute delay while Node is deployed.

Observe Deployed VMs

1. Switch back to the Azure portal.

2. Select Virtual Machines to see the progress of the deployment.

Under Add New Capacity - Change "Click Add" to "Under Add Cloud Capacity, Click Add"

Put in a comment in the Azure Subscription form that it might take 5-20 seconds to complete to the next step once you click Add

Split this step / screen after you deploy the node. The 35 minute delay should either end the step, or start the next step.

And get the damn timeout on this captcha to change to something more than 60 seconds.

Need to put some commentary in the instructions to pause for a few min, close / refresh browser, incognito mode... etc.
