Add Windows 10 Native App

We will want to now upload an internal native Windows 10 app to leverage P2P distribution. Continue to explore the process of creating and distributing an application to your Windows 10 device.

1. Create an Internal Application Profile

This exercise requires the 7-Zip installation program which is already downloaded and stored for you in the Documents folder.

1.1. Close Settings Window

Click on the X in the upper right corner to close our of the Peer Distribution Software Setup window

  1. Click Add.
  2. Click Internal Application.

1.3. Upload Application

1.4. Find the Application

Click on the Choose File button

The installation file for Google Chrome has already been downloaded to the server and placed in the Documents folder.

  1. Click on Documents
  2. Click on HOL
  3. Select 7z1701-x64.msi
  4. Click Open

Click Save.

1.7. Continue to the App Settings

Click Continue

1.8. Configure App Details

Select 64-bit for the Supported Processor Architecture.

1.9. Add Image Icon

  1. Click on Images tab.
  2. Click Icon.
  3. Click on Click or drag files here

1.10. Select Image Icon

  1. Click on the Pictures folder.
  2. Select 7zip.png
  3. Click Open.

1.11. Save & Assign App

Click on Save & Assign.

1.12. Add an Assignment

Click Add Assignment.

1.13. Add Assignment Group and Push Mode

  1. Click the Select Assignment Groups search box and select All Devices ([email protected]).
  2. Select Auto for the App Delivery Method.
  3. Click Add.

1.14. Save and Publish the Application
